I hope after your comparing the 2905 and the older Quad's you can come and comment again and let me know. I am REALLY curious. Would love to hear your system one day. Piano and cello really come over better than every other speaker I have owned; including Focal Utopia Scala's. However, I also own Quad ESL's from 1978 and ten years ago, built the quartz-composite stone stands you see here: www.eslinspiration.com and I can tell you, britishcomposershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09387228224274888359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395121002488101245.post-51235333558991097982014-09-26T18:38:01.121-04:002014-09-26T18:38:01.121-04:00You are the epitome of the frustrated (but still l...You are the epitome of the frustrated (but still loyal) Quad lover! :-)doctorjohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11301768655128512295noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3395121002488101245.post-10456783101851186532014-09-26T13:46:49.005-04:002014-09-26T13:46:49.005-04:00Forget about the 57s. Whathifi gives the former 5 stars and the latter 4. Huh? They are in essence the same speaker--and people at Quad would confirm that.

The problem with the later Quads (post 63) is not the sound nor the positioning, it is what happens Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
